Costa del Croydon, Centrale & Whitgift’s award-winning summer beach extravaganza, is back and bigger than ever, returning from 1 – 31 August 2025.
The ultimate summer escape in the city is back! From Friday 1 August, Costa del Croydon will once again bring sun, sand, and seaside fun to Centrale’s multi-storey rooftop, creating an unforgettable summer experience for families, friends, and colleagues.
Following its phenomenal debut last year, which welcomed over 30,000 visitors, Costa del Croydon is returning with even more to offer. 2025 brings back beloved favourites like the splash zone, mini go-karts, trampolines and bingo and a whole host of daily activities for the whole family to enjoy.
Families can look forward to a packed programme of activities designed for all ages, from dance workshops, toy making sessions and storytelling, to classic pier-side games like hook-a-duck. Whether you’re looking for a fun-filled day out or a chilled summer evening with a cocktail in hand, Costa del Croydon has something for everyone.
Visitors will also have even more delicious food and drink options to enjoy this year, with a range of exciting vendors to be announced soon. Expect everything from indulgent seaside treats to international flavours, catering to all tastes and dietary needs.
Costa del Croydon remains a truly community-driven event, designed to bring joy to local residents who may not have easy access to traditional beach destinations. With many Croydon families living in flats without outdoor space, this pop-up beach offers a much-needed escape, right in the heart of the town for free. Every Tuesday, Croydon Voluntary Action (CVA) will host dedicated Community Days, giving local groups the chance to showcase their talents and performances. Eight slots will be available, with applications reviewed by URW’s Social Value team, the Centrale team, and CVA, ensuring a diverse and engaging programme for all.
Rain or shine, the fun never stops – if the British summer delivers a few unexpected showers, key activities will move indoors to a dedicated pop-up space within the centre, keeping the good times rolling whatever the weather.
Costa del Croydon is more than just a pop-up beach – it’s a celebration of summer, community, and creativity. With its expanded offering for 2025, this year promises to be the best yet. Join us for a sun-soaked summer to remember!
