More than 150 businesses supported to grow by LSBU’s industry experts

Newly-published figures show 156 small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in London have received personalised Help to Grow training from industry experts at London South Bank University (LSBU).

Businesses supported include Crust Bros. and Monetary Solutions Ltd who are based in Southwark and Croydon.

As well as personalised learning, LSBU’s Help to Grow business support programme has supported London SMEs to develop a tailored growth plan to enable their businesses to reach their full potential.

Help to Grow is a government funded business support initiative which provides a 12-week intensive support programmes to develop Financial Management, Leadership, Digital, Business Planning and Employee Engagement skills.

Sarah Moore-Williams, Dean of LSBU’s Business School, said:“Our Help to Grow programme is making LSBU’s vision to transform lives, communities, businesses, society and have real world impact, a reality across London. In just less than a year over 150 London businesses have received training to develop their financial management, digital and leadership skills and have been given personalised support to from industry experts to increase their earnings and profits. Over the next two years we’ll be giving expert guidance to hundreds more London businesses and by the end of LSBU’s Help to Grow programme, hundreds of firms will have been given personalised support to develop a tailored plans to help their businesses grow.”

The government-funded Help to Grow programme aims to give business leaders the tools they need to strengthen and expand their organisations. The programme is a “must” for senior executives looking to future-proof their company since it offers unmatched networking opportunities as well as training from top business experts.

With a one-time fee of just £750 up front and 90% government funding for the course a small investment in your management staff can have a significant impact on the viability of your company.
