Executive Mayor for Croydon, Jason Perry, will be launching his Vision for Croydon on Wednesday, 14 May 2025. The event aims to set out a refreshed, focused plan for Croydon’s growth, highlighting key regeneration opportunities and the borough’s strong commitment to delivery and partnership.

In March, the mayor shared in an exclusive interview with Develop Croydon, the borough’s future, responding to the recently released London Growth Plan, highlighting how it will bring jobs, homes, and investment to local people.

He outlined how the ambitious strategy—designed to drive £107bn in economic growth and create 150,000 jobs across London by 2028—will transform Croydon’s high streets, businesses, and communities to provide tangible benefits for the people who work and live in Croydon. This event will further delve into this vision.

During the interview, Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon, said,

“We’re really focused on growth here in Croydon. I think the London Growth Plan gives us that opportunity to actually attach our aspirations to that wider growth plan for the whole of London, which is going to go out to an international stage, and we’re very much part of that plan.”

He shared that the new vision for Croydon was developed in collaboration with Howard Dawber, Deputy Mayor for Business in London, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government, TfL, Homes England and other partners. The aim was to have “all the right people in the room to really focus on Croydon regeneration and really focus on bringing that investment to Croydon, but also having that vision of Croydon being that great place to work, live and play.”

As part of the London Growth plan, Croydon was marked for its “regionally significant office clusters” in the financial, professional, and business services technology sectors, and was included on a map for housing-led developments with 14,500 homes either having planning consent or being included in a Local Plan, as well as being considered a “potential future internationally significant visitor destinations”.

With so many growth avenues already progressing, Croydon is a compelling place to invest in.

“To all those investors out there, come and give us your money here in Croydon, because this is a great place to invest. We’ve got heritage, we’ve got culture, we’ve got green spaces, we’ve got the best connectivity in London, which will connect you to Gatwick Airport and beyond…So to all those investors out there come to Croydon, we’re open for business,” Jason Perry, Executive Mayor of Croydon added.
