Construction is well underway at CR1 in Croydon, a best-in-class ultra-sustainable logistics warehouse being developed by GLi – a joint venture between KSP and PATRIZIA.
CR1 will set a new benchmark for cost-efficiency in the south London logistics sector. According to research undertaken by CBRE, CR1 will offer the highest ratio of electric vehicle (EV) charge points per sq. ft of any industrial development in the country. This commitment to 100% EV parking also underscores GLi’s commitment to supporting the occupier transition to all-electric van fleets.
CR1 will boast 52,605 sq. ft of cutting-edge logistics infrastructure strategically positioned in Croydon’s established industrial heartland. Its prime location will ensure unparalleled accessibility and convenience for businesses. With a skilled local labour pool tailor-made for the logistics industry, CR1 is expected to be a dynamic hub for growing enterprises. Additionally, CR1 will integrate state-of-the-art solar photovoltaic (PV) technology into its structure.
David Johnson, Chief Executive Officer, KSP, said: “We are delighted to be able to move forward on this industrial unit in such a key strategic location so close to Central London.
Its construction will help support the local economy and job creation and the unit will provide future occupiers with an ultra-sustainable building adhering to strict energy efficiency targets, as well as present significant cost savings.”
