Bart & Taylor, owners of Mr Fox will be opening their second Croydon venture – Fern – at Ten Degrees, opposite East Croydon station, later this year.
Fern will open on the ground floor of Ten Degrees, the world’s tallest modular skyscraper, bringing their popular cocktail menus, locally sourced food, and quirky interiors to the new venue.
SHW advised landlord Greystar Europe Holdings on the letting of the 2,140 sq ft retail unit – Unit 1, George Street – located directly opposite East Croydon Station, one of the busiest locations in Croydon.
Richard Pyne, Partner at SHW, comments “SHW are delighted to Act for Greystar and Henderson Park on such a prestigious development in the heart of Croydon. The offering that Fern will bring is exciting and contemporary and fits in perfectly the new Starbucks offering – opening soon within the scheme. There is just one more retail unit available, which will front Greystar’s even taller building on College Road.”
The decor is inspired by Lower Manhattan with exposed brickworks, houseplants, reclaimed barn wood flooring, terracotta tiles, floor-to-ceiling windows, rustic lighting, and even French chandeliers.
The cocktail menu will include signature classics and highballs made with some of the finest spirits, while the open kitchen will serve sharing plates of modern European dishes.
Open from “dawn ‘til dusk” seven days a week, Fern will cater for guests looking to start the day with breakfast, enjoy a team lunch, grab an after-work drink, and get together with friends and family.
Bart & Taylor is owned by Aiste Bart and Andrew Taylor who currently own both Mr Fox, Croydon, and Adam & Eve, Northumberland, with two further venues planned for 2023.
