Tide’s modular innovation has been recognised for its many extraordinary contributions to the advancement of construction in tall buildings, at a major industry award ceremony this month.
The jury members of this year’s Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat Awards – CTBUH 2022 granted Tide the following awards for their work in delivering George Street / Ten Degrees in Croydon:
- Structural Engineering Award (overall category winner)
- Best Tall Building 100-199 meters
- Best Tall Residential or Hotel Building
- Construction Award
- Innovation Award (awarded to Vision Modular Systems for, Tide’s offsite manufacturing company, for Ten Degrees)
The delivery of George Street/Ten Degrees, currently the tallest modular building in the world, was a significant milestone for Tide, Vision and the industry. It has elevated the possibilities for tall building construction, proving that building high-rise modular is a tangible reality.
Tide and Vision will continue advocating for modular as a mainstream construction method, emphasising the many environmental benefits that come with it.
